Summary
CaptureLab 360 by ConvertLab360 is designed as a local-first screenshot and screen-recording tool. Screenshot capture, annotation, redaction and export do not require an account or CaptureLab cloud service.
Data processing
Screenshots, annotations, clipboard content, microphone audio, tab audio and video recordings are processed on the user's device.
The extension temporarily stores recent screenshot files in the browser's local IndexedDB so the local editor can open them in a neighboring tab. Temporary editor records are automatically pruned after 24 hours or when the local retention limit is reached. Exported files remain wherever the user chooses to save them.
Local preferences such as image format, microphone state and capture settings may be stored in Chrome extension storage. These preferences are not synchronized to ConvertLab360 servers.
Browser permissions
activeTabandscripting: capture the page selected by the user, select a region and scroll a page for a full-page screenshot.downloads: save exports explicitly requested by the user.storage: retain local preferences and temporary capture state.offscreen: compose screenshot tiles and maintain a user-requested recording outside the popup lifecycle.tabCapture: record the browser tab explicitly selected by the user.nativeMessaging: communicate with the optional local desktop companion for recording. It is not used during ordinary screenshot capture.
CaptureLab 360 does not request persistent access to all websites. Page access is granted through activeTab after a direct user action.
Network communication
The extension does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, remote executable code or automatic cloud upload. The optional desktop companion communicates through local operating-system and loopback interfaces for a recording session initiated by the user.
User control and retention
Users can remove temporary extension data by uninstalling CaptureLab 360 or clearing its extension data in Chrome. Exported files are controlled by the user and can be deleted with the operating system's file manager.

This policy page is intentionally served without Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels, session-replay tools or lead-generation popups. Basic request logs may still be processed by the website's hosting and security provider for delivery, reliability and abuse prevention.
The broader ConvertLab360 marketing website has a separate website privacy policy. Visiting marketing pages is distinct from using the CaptureLab 360 extension.
