Straight answers before installation.
Not automatically. Capture, stitching, OCR, annotation, redaction and export run locally. A screenshot is uploaded only when you press Share link, which creates an expiring unlisted URL that anyone with the link can open. You can delete it in Settings at any time.
A new capture is copied to your clipboard and opens in the editor in the neighboring tab. Nothing is written to Downloads until you press Download and choose PNG, WebP or JPEG.
No. The English, Ukrainian and Russian OCR models are bundled with the extension and run on your device. Ukrainian and Russian modes also recognize English terms.
Yes. Click Stop scanning while capture is running. CaptureLab 360 finishes the part already captured instead of discarding it.
Browsers impose maximum canvas dimensions and memory limits. Splitting into WebP segments preserves readability and prevents a failed or truncated export.
Chrome prevents extensions from accessing protected browser pages, including most chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store. Ordinary websites can be captured.
Not for screenshots, chat capture, editing, OCR or share links. The companion is needed only for screen recording, audio extraction and transcription, and runs on macOS 13.3 or later. Windows and ChromeOS users can use every browser feature.
